King Midas gets donkey ears as punishment from the god Apollo for saying Pan's music was better. He tries to hide his shameful secret, but his barber finds out. The barber can't keep the secret, so he digs a hole and tells it to the ground. Later, plants grow there that whisper the truth whenever the wind blows.
